Job Title: Contract LPN / LVN (Nursing)

Location: Rochester, NY

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

• F/T LPN
• M-F 8:30a-5p and or 9a-5:30p
• Saturdays potential for 1 4 hour morning shift per month/flexible rotation 8a-12p
• Primary location:
• FLMA Geneva Pediatrics
• 200 North ST
• Geneva, NY
• Float to other pediatrics sites as needed
• Peds experience, injections, Able to work independently in a fast paced environment. Flexible, Strong Communication Skills, Adaptable and willingness to work with others

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. This role involves monitoring patient health, administering basic nursing care, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. The LPN/LVN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care according to the established plan of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and other daily activities.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and report any significant changes to the RN or physician.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN/LVN license in the state of New York.
• Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience as an LPN/LVN preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a healthcare setting with exposure to various health conditions and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients or equipment.
• May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on staffing needs.
