Ascendo Resources is actively seeking a
Grants Manager to join the team of a non-profit company in the Bronx, NY. This position is full time, hybrid, temp-to-hire basis!
The Grants Manager must have experience in city/state grant management, compliance, and billing. This role involves working with the organization's funding sources, executing budget modifications, handling allocations, and processing invoices.
Job Title: Grants Manager
Pay Rate: $38/hr - $41/hr Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly and quarterly invoices and reports for government contracts.
- Maintain and update tracking systems for monthly billing of government contracts; redesign systems as needed for accurate invoicing.
- Manage and organize all grant documents (narratives, financials, agreements, amendments, reports, and invoices) in both hard copy and electronic filing systems.
- Review and maintain monthly expense reports and salary allocation reports, along with supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing contract budgets and budget modifications.
- Support agency audits, government annual audits, and oversee interim monitoring visits and document preparation as required.
- Follow up with government representatives to resolve contract billing issues.
- Serve as backup administrator for outsourced online payroll to the part-time Sr. HR manager in their absence:
- Process semi-monthly payroll.
- Review all changes, including deductions, new hires, and terminations, prior to processing.
- Provide compensation and payroll data to external agencies, including unemployment services, worker's compensation, garnishments, and government agencies.
- Supply payroll and tax-related information as needed.
- Provide support to other accounting staff as required.
Qualifications: - Bachelors in accounting, finance, or a related field required. (Master's or CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive grants management experience, specifically with government and other grants. Experience with DYCD is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of Uniform Guidance, GAAP, Federal, State, and City regulations, as well as nonprofit accounting requirements.
- Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to manage multiple complex assignments and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities, follow-through skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in non-profit accounting software programs (Passport experience required).
- Advanced Excel skills required including pivot tables and vlookups.
